Cylinder 710

This cylinder has some surface damage to it; in particular the beginning, contains a crack that starts from the beginning to about 1/5 of the way through the recording. This is present in both the stylus and optical versions.

Cylinder 713

This cylinder has a notable seam down its axis. It makes a very regular and audible “click” which can be heard prominently on the stylus transfer version. Also, the first few sections of the audio have been cut out from these samples in both the transfer version and the optical version. This beginning section appears to be not part of the recording and/or mistakenly recorded; it is also somewhat inaudible in both versions.

Cylinder 726

This cylinder features significant “divots”, a feature due to the cylinder’s system being overdriven during the recording process, that create large grooves that affect the second half of this record and cause some distortion.
